Job summary

The Therapy Assistant at Rimrock Foundation assists with implementing therapy and treatment services for clients in the Residential program, providing direct support to promote participation in treatment goals, daily activities, and recreational programming. The role works as an adjunct to Rehab Aides and the clinical team to ensure client safety and smooth program operations.

They ensure adherence to state statutes, CARF standards, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2, positively representing Rimrock

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; ability to communicate with patients with addictions.
Attend monthly departmental sessions and in-services; complete 4 CEUs annually (Trauma Informed Care, De-escalation, Motivational Interviewing, Suicide Awareness).

Responsibilities

Provide observation and therapeutic support to assigned patients, including regular rounds to ensure safety and adherence to schedules.
Intervene and de-escalate situations using trauma-informed approaches.
Assist in planning, organizing, facilitating, and supervising recreational activities that support treatment goals.
Encourage client participation to promote social connection, emotional regulation, and healthy coping skills.
Maintain documentation and assist with program operations across departments.
