Job summary

Rimrock seeks a Therapy Assistant to support therapy and treatment services in the Residential program. You will provide direct client support to promote participation in treatment goals and daily activities, working with the Rehabilitation Aide and clinical team to ensure safety and program operations.

Responsibilities include observing clients, de-escalation, organizing recreational activities, monitoring safety and documentation, and supporting communication with medical staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete 4 CEUs annually for Trauma Informed Care, De-escalation, Motivational Interviewing, and Suicide Awareness.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff; maintain HIPAA and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide observation and therapeutic support to assigned patients.
• Report incidents and emergencies immediately according to Rimrock policies.
• Intervene and de-escalate situations using trauma-informed approaches.
• Assist in planning, organizing, facilitating, and supervising recreational, leisure, and art-based activities.
• Monitor and document client care and safety in logs; support across departments as needed.
