Qualifications

• Experience with trauma, substance use recovery, and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of harm reduction principles is a plus.
• Proven recovery support competencies and ethical behavior are required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and computer literacy are essential.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License and ability to show proof of personal automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services including individual, group, family/couples therapy, and assessments.
• Develop and review personalized treatment plans for mental health and substance use needs.
• Offer crisis intervention and coordinate with medical and social services teams.
• Educate members on connections between mental health, substance use, and physical health.
• Document all activities in a timely manner for funding and agency requirements.
• Collaborate with staff and community partners to ensure recovery-focused care.
• Maintain adherence to ACA, NASW, and PC ethics and professional standards.

This position provides quality, person-centered, trauma informed, recovery focused therapeutic services to those enrolled in Therapy Services, including the co-occurring out-patient and intensive out-patient programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

MemberSupportDuties:

• Engagemembersutilizingatraumalensandcultural humility to quickly establish trust and build rapport.
• Partnerwithmemberstohelpthemachievegoalsaroundimprovingtheirmentalhealthand substance use
• Provide therapeutic services, including individual sessions, group sessions, family/couples therapy, and assessments to members with mental health challenges, substance use disorders,andphysicalhealthissues.Useevidence-basedmodalitiessuchasCognitiveBehavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and harm reduction strategies.

• Providecrisisinterventionformembersinacutedistress,ensuringsafetyandimmediatesupport.
• Addressmentalhealthandsubstanceusecriseswithsensitivityandatrauma-informed approach, coordinating with medical and social services teams as necessary.
• Assistmemberswithdevelopinginterpersonalskillstoconnectwithmembersofthe community and expand their natural support system.
• Complete,maintain,andreviewdocumentationforagencyandfundingrequirementswithinall designated timeframes
• Developandprovideresourcestomembersbasedaroundrecoveryservices.
• Demonstrate consistent adherence to the ethical standards and professional conduct guidelines set forth by the American Counseling Association (ACA), National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and the Professional Counselor (PC) Code of Ethics to ensure safe, ethical, and client-centered therapeutic practice.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
