Job summary

Synchrony Rehab is seeking a part‑time Therapy Program Director for Cranberry House in Newland, NC. The PD directs clinical assessments, program development, quality improvement, and productivity in campus, home health, and outpatient care.

Requirements include licensure in the relevant discipline, a degree in PT/OT/Speech‑Language Pathology, and at least 1 year of skilled rehab experience. The role involves interdisciplinary leadership and program oversight.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state licensure in respective discipline.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.
• Degree in Physical/Occupational Therapy or related program from an accredited college.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement therapy programs and protocols aligned with facility goals.
• Supervise and mentor therapists; provide guidance and performance evaluations.
• Monitor and evaluate therapy program effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee staffing, equipment and budget to support therapy services.
• Organize ongoing training and professional development for staff.
• Analyze program data to identify improvements and enhance patient satisfaction.
• Deliver skilled rehab services within scope of credentials and/or license.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Therapy Program Director (PD) is responsible for directing clinical assessments, program development, quality improvement, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary environment in campus location/s, home health, and/or outpatient care. Adheres to compliance with state licensure requirements and the company’s policies and procedures, professional practices and ethical standards. Demonstrates accountability for and contributes to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Licenses and Certifications: Must have and maintain a current, valid state licensure in respective discipline. Current valid CPR certification, preferred.

Education: Degree in Physical/Occupational Therapy, or Physical/Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in delivering skilled rehab services.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and implement therapy programs and protocols that align with the facility’s mission, goals, and standards of care.
• Supervise and mentor a team of therapists, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and best practices.
• Oversee the allocation and management of resources, including staffing, equipment, and budget, to support the successful delivery of therapy services.
• Organize and facilitate ongoing training and professional development opportunities for therapy staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Analyze program data and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance program effectiveness and patient satisfaction.
• Meet the requirements of specific therapy discipline to deliver skilled rehab services within scope of credentials and/or license.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co‑workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
