Description:The position requires a Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of two years of experience.
Weekend requirement is every other weekend; changes may occur as needed.
Shifts are from 7 pm to 7:30 am.
All request time off, block scheduling, and special scheduling requests must be included with the submission.
The facility is allowed to call off one shift every two weeks.
First-time travelers will be accepted.
Locals are accepted with radius rule criteria.
Pending license is not accepted; an active license is required.
The patient population will primarily consist of adults and geriatrics.
The candidate should possess skills in adult critical care, aerosol setups, and administration of various respiratory medications including albuterol, Atrovent, and others.
Experience with hand-held, T-piece, and trach collar nebulizers is required.
Candidates should also have experience with different types of oxygen therapy and mechanical ventilation.
While staff will primarily work in their assigned unit, agency staff may be required to float to other units per request.
Staff will float only to units they are qualified for, with documented competencies.
Travelers must have 1 year of EPIC experience.
This is a night shift role and candidates should be prepared to work weekends.
The position involves working with a daily census of adult patients.
Additional duties may include various special procedures related to adult respiratory modalities.
Successful candidates should meet all required skills and have trauma experience.
