Rimrock Trails in Prineville, OR, seeks a Residential Assistant Program Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a residential program, ensuring high-quality care for youth. About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential Assistant Program Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our residential program, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care and support.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides supervision, guidance, and coaching to line staff, including routine documentation of supervision.
  • Engages in Collaborative Problem Solving, a trauma informed behavioral management technique, in response to client and staff challenging behavior; in accordance with policies, procedures and training; working collaboratively with HR Manager and Program Manager.
  • Oversees weekly staff schedule, ensuring staff/client ratios are in accordance with Rimrock Trails policy and Oregon Administrative Rules and minimizing overtime.
  • Facilitates training as necessary. Monitors and tracks line staff compliance in completing mandatory trainings within 30 and 60 days of hire and annually thereafter in compliance with Rimrock Trails policy and Oregon Administrative Rules, including training in behavioral management and crisis intervention/verbal de-escalation.
  • Monitors, tracks and records all absences of direct reports; approve timecards.
  • Completes performance evaluations
  • Supervises the residential program's daily structured routine.
  • Facilitates shift change huddles with residential employees.
  • Ensures complete, accurate and timely entry of milieu shift notes, incident reporting and individual, group, and case management service notes for each occurrence in accordance with Rimrock Trails policy.
  • Maintains ongoing, professional dialogue with all members of the Care Team, including the Therapist and/or Case Manager assigned to the resident including timely reporting of critical incidents and other pertinent information.
  • Maintains system of communication so that youth counselors and other care team members receive timely information about client treatment, incident/events, policy changes, etc.
  • Drives culture by modeling and actively coaching youth and staff through the use of Collaborative Problem-Solving model.
  • Participates as a team player in Rimrock Trails’ residential treatment model for youth.
  • Supervises youth, in accordance with Rimrock Trails’ policies, procedures and the youth's individual treatment plans.
  • Coordinate, manage and participate in recreational and educational programming for youth.
  • Ensures that clothing and other personal needs of students in residence are met in accordance with applicable policy and Oregon Administrative Rules.
  • Provides group counseling and skill building.
  • Completes professional documentation of all treatment services provided according to program policies and procedures and Oregon Administrative Rules.
  • Manages physical plant needs on the community, ensuring they are clean, orderly and free of all hazards, requesting maintenance support when appropriate.
  • Assists the safety coordinator in managing the transportation fleet, maintaining open communication regarding student transportation needs.

Salary: $58,000 annually

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience
  • Education: High school diploma of GED.
  • Relevant Experience: At least three years of working in residential treatment or a related behavioral health experience.
  • Management Experience: At least one year of previous experience in management, supervisory, or leadership roles.
  • Previous training in formal crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies
  • Trauma-Informed Care: Demonstrate competence in providing trauma-informed care practices with youth clients and team members.
  • Emotional Regulation: Ability to self-regulate emotions and maintain a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
  • Ability to form authentic therapeutic helping relationships and foster trust with clients.
  • Ability to work effectively within an occasionally high-pressure, high-stress, and physically taxing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Degree: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, addictions studies or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience working with youth in a behavioral health setting.
  • Certifications: Additional certifications in trauma-informed care, collaborative problem-solving level 2, or youth mental health first aid.
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor I

  • Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check per DHS/Oregon Administrative Rules.
