AHS has an exciting opportunity for a Recreation Assistant who will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment designed to meet the needs of individuals who present with a combination of dementia syndrome and complex behavioral issues. The Recreation Assistant is part of a multidisciplinary team focused on collaborative, patient-centered care. The successful candidate will assist in promoting comprehensive services for residents, developing and implementing evidence-based, client-centered practices in collaboration with the Recreation Therapist. The team includes Therapy Assistants, Physiotherapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Social Workers, working closely with nursing teams.
This role offers a competitive pay rate, and Alberta Health Services currently provides a Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 annually, payable on an hourly basis for all paid hours at the basic rate of pay.
