Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Peoria, part of the Select Medical network, is seeking a Therapy Aide for Per Diem (Days). You will assist therapists, help with patient transfers, and support treatment sessions in our inpatient rehabilitation setting.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS certification; preferred candidates have hospital experience. This role offers orientation, flexibility, and the chance to advance within a large patient-care team.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Certified BLS or completion within 90 days of employment is required.
• One year or more of hospital experience as a therapy aide is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient-related tasks as directed by the therapist.
• Assists with transferring patients to and from mats, tilt tables, and wheelchairs.
• Aids patients in donning/doffing appliances and using orthotic/prosthetic devices as needed.
• Positions patients for standing and gait activities with appropriate support.
• Transport patients to and from therapy and assist with equipment setup for sessions.
• Support therapy sessions by preparing rooms and positioning patients as outlined by state practice.
