Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Phoenix is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our inpatient rehabilitation team on a per diem basis. Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, you will assist with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.

Ideal candidates hold current PTA licensure or eligibility and BLS certification; experience is a plus. The role supports patient care, delegation of supportive staff, and ongoing education for patients, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients.
• Consistently communicates with supervising PT regarding scheduled patients to identify needs for assessment or modification of treatment plans.
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice.
