Job summary

Glen Oaks Hospital in Greenville, Texas is seeking a Therapy Aide to provide counseling and social services, helping adults and seniors access therapeutic treatment skills to improve emotional health. The role supports crisis intervention and information/referral services while serving as a back-up Court Liaison in the Therapy Department.

Schedule is as needed, 8am–5pm, weekends. A bachelor’s degree in counseling or related field and CPR certification are required, with 1 year of behavioral

Qualifications

• Completion of bachelor’s degree in Counseling or related mental health field.
• Minimum of one year of behavioral health hospital experience preferred.
• Handle with Care and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of appointment.
• CPR Certification required or obtained during new hire orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and social services to meet patients' biopsychosocial needs.
• Assist patients in accessing through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve emotional health.
• Deliver crisis intervention and provide information and referrals as needed.
• Back-up Court Liaison in Therapy Department.
