Job summary

Glen Oaks Hospital, a UHS facility in Greenville, Texas, seeks a Recreation Therapist to plan and deliver activity services for adults and seniors within an interdisciplinary care team. You will help define treatment goals and provide ongoing patient observation and interaction as part of a therapeutic program.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in recreation therapy (or related field) with one year of related experience preferred; CPR and de-escalation training are required or will be

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy or related therapeutic discipline.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• CPR certification and Handle With Care training completed or within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activity services for the assigned program as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Define and implement treatment goals and provide continuous patient care, observation and role modeling.
• Work Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm at Glen Oaks Hospital in Greenville, TX.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy or related field

Master's Degree in Art Therapy (preferred)
