Job summary

Select Medical in Florissant, MO is seeking a Rehab Aide to support therapists in an outpatient physical therapy setting. The role is full-time and on-site with a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–4:30 PM).

Compensation starts at $18 per hour and increases with experience. Responsibilities include patient lifting, transfers, positioning, and assisting with equipment; maintaining a clean work area and assisting with therapy setup.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Current State Driver's License required.
• Class E license allowing shuttle operation prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Rehab Aide assists therapists and handles patient-related tasks.
• Lifts patients to/from mats, treatment areas, and chairs.
• Assists with transfers and patient positioning.

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00A-4:30P

Rehab Aide performs patient-related tasks assigned by therapist, including but not limited to:

• Lifts patients to/from mats, treatment and tilt tables, wheelchairs, and other equipment appropriate to the facility/department.
• Assists patients with transfer activities to all surfaces.
• Assists patients in donning/doffing all appliances specific to the facility/department.
• Positions patients in parallel bars and prepares patients for standing with appropriate orthotic/prosthetic devices and equipment.
• Transports patients to/from therapy as needed.
• Assists therapist with other patient-related treatment activities as appropriate and provides equipment.
• Assist with patient-related activities, including equipment set-up and patient positioning in preparation for therapy session as outlined in the State Practice Act.
• Maintains the department and department equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Current State Driver's License in good standing required
• Class E license allowing for the operation of the shuttle bus prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR certification
• First aid certification
• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy center
