Job summary

Select Medical in O'Fallon, IL is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our outpatient physical therapy team. You will support therapists, assist with rehabilitation procedures, organize scheduling, and help maintain records for ancillary services within the center.

This role emphasizes patient care, safety, and coordinating center operations. The position is full-time with a schedule Monday through Friday, starting 8:00 AM and ending around 4:30 PM, and compensation

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in an OT Assistant program required.
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Aide therapists in rehabilitation procedures and support center operations.
• Observe and report any abnormal patient conditions or responses to treatment.
• Assist with scheduling and record-keeping for ancillary services and other center functions.

Compensation: $18-21/hour, increases based on experience.

• Aide therapists in carrying out rehabilitation procedures, organize/schedule and keep records of ancillary services and support other center-specific functions
• Observe and report any abnormal patient conditions, reactions or responses to treatment
• Play a significant role in specific area of center operations (scheduling ancillary services and following up, overseeing a specific program, serving as OSHA coordinator, etc.)
• Clean, sterilize and prepare equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in an OT Assistant program required
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Class E license allowing for the operation of the shuttle bus prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR certification
• First aid certification
• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy center
