Job summary

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support therapists and the clinical team in Philadelphia. You will participate in patient care activities, help with exercises, and ensure equipment and space are clean and ready for treatment.

Role requires attention to safety, good communication, and the ability to follow directions from licensed clinicians. BLS certification is required or eligible; prior healthcare exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience in similar clinical setting preferred.
• BLS / CPR certification required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient care and related activities as instructed by the therapists and medical staff.
• Monitors inventory and clinical areas to ensure optimal delivery of services.
• Performs clerical tasks such as inventory, ordering supplies, scheduling, and filing.
• Prepare and disinfect treatment areas and equipment between sessions.
• Assist patients with exercises and with donning/doffing braces, splints, or other devices.
• Transport patients to and from treatment areas and assist with mobility as needed.
