Job Title: Therapy Aide

Department: Ambulatory Services | Lewis Center Physical Therapy

The therapy aide assists in patient treatment on assigned rotations and provides cross coverage of the Rehabilitation division's other locations/sites (Acute, Dodd Acute Inpatient, Outpatient Clinics) as needed. Responsibilities include routine operation of the rehabilitation department, such as maintaining cleanliness, monitoring equipment and supply inventories, maintenance, and patient transportation. The aide works under the direct supervision of the Team Leader.

Minimum Education Required

High School graduate or equivalent. 0 years of relevant experience required; 0-2 years preferred.

Required Qualifications

Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide whole numbers, and read & write simple sentences. Within 6 months of hire, obtain American Heart Association Friends and Family emergency recognition or BLS certification.

Must meet mandatory education and health requirements. Demonstrates competency in technical skills, interpersonal/interdepartmental relations, and cognitive skills to perform essential job functions.

Additional Information
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—able to engage comfortably with clinicians, patient access coordinators, leadership, and patients.
  • Able to lift 45 lbs to lift/organize and clean rehabilitation equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to stay organized and maintain a clean, organized clinic in a busy outpatient setting.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
