Job summary

Hope Valley Health & Wellness seeks a Therapist/Therapist Associate in Wasilla, Alaska to deliver evidence-based mental health and addiction treatment. You will conduct psychosocial assessments, manage a caseload, and lead group and individual therapy sessions in a person-centered setting.

Qualified candidates hold a current license (LCSW/LSCW/LMFT/AMFT/LPCC, etc.) and have experience with CBT, accurate documentation, and HIPAA-compliant charting.

Qualifications

  • Current license as ACSW, LCSW, AMFT, LMFT, APCC or LPCC is required.
  • Experience with CBT and CBT-based methods is essential.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure individually and on a team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and discharge planning.
  • Maintain caseload and facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Educate and train staff on behavioral management or crisis intervention.
  • Complete utilization reviews and coordinate community referrals.

Summary We are seeking a passionate Therapist/Therapist Associate to join our team at Hope Valley Health & Wellness in Wasilla Alaska. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission of delivering transformative mental health care through evidence-based practices and holistic therapies.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts psychosocial assessments and initiates a discharge plan at admission.
  • Maintains assigned caseload.
  • Facilitate appropriate therapeutic groups and individual therapy sessions.
  • May assist in educating and training staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention.
  • May assist in the training of new clinical staff and interns.
  • Completes utilization reviews in a timely manner.
  • Complete necessary community referrals and ensure continuity of care with other agencies as needed.
  • Conduct assessments, screenings, treatment planning, and managing clients' progress.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Current license, ACSW, LCSW, AMFT, LMFT, APCC or LPCC is required.
  • At least two (2) years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorder preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
  • Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Alaska driver’s license, clean driving record, and maintain personal auto insurance coverage.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing services needed to clients.
  • Experience in electronic charting preferred.
  • Experience with conducting client group sessions, and one on one sessions is required.
  • Strong understanding of the principles and application of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and CFR-42 client confidentiality regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
