Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies is seeking a PHP Therapist/Social Worker to deliver clinical services in a Partial Hospitalization Program, co-facilitate team trainings, and ensure quality documentation. The role emphasizes intensive, short‑term stabilization and group therapy within a multidisciplinary STEP program for youth aged 12-17.

The successful candidate will hold an MSW or equivalent and collaborate with counselors, clinicians, nurses, psychiatrists, and supervisors.

Job description

• Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

The primary responsibility of the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Therapist / Social Worker is to provide clinical services to (PHP) clients, co-facilitate training for the PHP team, complete documentation, and support the clinical integrity of the program. Therapists in the PHP provide intensive, short-term and stabilization services to enable clients to step down to lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. The main treatment modality is group therapy.

About Step Programs

The STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration, and Progress) program provides Partial Hospitalization services to youth ages 12-17. The goal of the STEP program is to provide intensive, short-term stabilization services to enable our clients to step down to lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. All groups are designed to teach youth the skills necessary to help them learn about their mental health, provide psychoeducation, and help them learn skills to feel better and be safe. STEP consists of a multidisciplinary team of counselors, clinicians, a nurse, psychiatrist, and program supervisor.
