Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Therapist-PRN for its Austin Oaks Hospital in Austin, TX. The role involves developing treatment plans, coordinating with families and disciplines, and delivering individualized therapeutic services in an inpatient/outpatient setting.

Licensure or supervised status in Texas (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) is required or in supervision (LMSW, LPC-I, LMFT-A). Prior inpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Behavioral Health field.
• Current state licensure and CPR/BLS certification.
• QMHP designation and inpatient/outpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
• At least 6 months of experience providing individual, group and family therapy, case management and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write treatment plans and discharge summaries within established time frames and formats.
• Liaison with other disciplines, colleagues, physicians, families, and outside agencies.
• Assess, design, structure, and implement therapeutic services that best meet the needs of patients and families.
• Work collaboratively as a treatment team member under the Clinical Services Director.
• Prior inpatient adult psychiatric experience preferred.

Position summary

Therapist-PRN at Inpatient Hospital , responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for developing and writing treatment plans and discharge summaries within established time frames and formats.
• Is a liaison with other disciplines, colleagues, physicians, families, and outside agencies.
• Responsible for assessing, designing, structuring, and implementing therapeutic services that best meets the needs of patients and their families.
• Working collaboratively as a treatment team member. Will work under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Director.
• Must be licensed to practice psychotherapy in the State of Texas (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) or under supervision for licensure (LMSW, LPC-I, or LMFT-A) Prior inpatient adult psychiatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Masters Degree in Behavioral Health field

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Current State Licensure. Current CPR or BLS certification. Aggressive Behavior Management training within 90 days of hire date. Is deemed a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP)

EXPERIENCE: Required: At least 6 months work experience providing individual, group and family therapy, case management and discharge planning in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric facility; familiarity with ethical and legal issues regarding reporting of abuse and neglect. Prior inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
