Job summary

Austin Oaks Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Therapist Inpatient to develop and implement treatment plans and coordinate discharge summaries with a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will hold an active Texas license (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) or be in supervised licensure, have a Master’s degree in Behavioral Health, and preferably inpatient psychiatric experience to support adolescents and adults in our acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice psychotherapy in Texas (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) or in supervised licensure (LMSW, LPC-I, or LMFT-A).
• Prior inpatient adult psychiatric experience preferred.
• Masters degree in Behavioral Health field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write treatment plans and discharge summaries within established time frames and formats.
• Act as liaison with disciplines, colleagues, physicians, families, and outside agencies.
• Assess, design, structure, and implement therapeutic services to meet patient and family needs.
• Work collaboratively as a treatment team member under supervision of Clinical Services Director.

• Is a liaison with other disciplines, colleagues, physicians, families, and outside agencies.
• Responsible for assessing, designing, structuring, and implementing therapeutic services that best meets the needs of patients and their families.
• Working collaboratively as a treatment team member. Will work under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Director. Must be licensed to practice psychotherapy in the State of Texas (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) or under supervision for licensure (LMSW, LPC-I, or LMFT-A) Prior inpatient adult psychiatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

Education

Masters Degree in Behavioral Health field

Licensure / Certification

Current State Licensure. Current CPR or BLS certification. Aggressive Behavior Management training within 90 days of hire date. Is deemed a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP)

Experience

Required: At least 6 months work experience providing individual, group and family therapy, case management and discharge planning in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric facility; familiarity with ethical and legal issues regarding reporting of abuse and neglect. Prior inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
