The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is currently looking for a Master's Level Therapist/Clinician to join our team of dedicated professionals.
Who We Are
The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is a 156-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located on 13 acres in Greer, SC, conveniently close to I-85. Specializing in psychiatric programs and substance use treatment, inpatient programs are offered for adolescents, adults, and senior adults. There are also intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP) for patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders. Above all else, we treat every patient with compassion and respect. Position Summary:
Inpatient
To provide quality case management psychotherapeutic services to adult and/or adolescent psychiatric patient populations (age range approximately 12 and up) and their families, spouse, significant other. To serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team supporting the organization’s treatment program and philosophy and assure the deliverance of quality treatment to adult and/or adolescent patients and their families.
Outpatient
To develop and administer a comprehensive intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization program, Suboxone program, or other outpatient programs that respond to the community’s need and support the organization’s overall mission, philosophy, and goals. To integrate the management of the intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization program, Suboxone program, or other outpatient programs into the Carolina Center’s continuum of care.

Master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, or a similar educational degree required. Licensure preferred; experience in psychiatric hospital setting preferred; range of experience within the continuum of care preferred (e.g., inpatient, outpatient, or IOP, partial).
Physical and Mental Requirements of the Job:
Ability to exercise self-control in potentially volatile situations such as being verbally or physically confronted in a threatening or aggressive manner. Able to reach, walk, and stand for sustained periods of time; able to move about quickly on foot; able to finger, grasp (sometimes using repetitive motions) and lift objects, raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position; able to push using upper extremities to press against something with steady force; able to express and exchange ideas via spoken word to convey detailed information in an audible, accurate, and possible quick manner; able to perceive the nature of sounds with no less than a 40 dB loss @ Hz, 1000 Hz, and 20000 Hz, with or without correction; able to make fine discriminations in sound.
Work is primarily sedentary in nature, requiring the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Visual acuity required adequate for reading, preparing and analyzing data, transcription, and characters on computer terminal; visual inspection of documents.
Worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; conditions are typical of office settings and administrative work.
Must be able to concentrate on work amidst distractions such as noise, conversations, and foot traffic; must be able to consistently meet deadlines regardless of case load; must be flexible in work hours in order to meet patient and hospital operating needs.
