Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist I (SLP I) reports to the Clinical Manager of Speech Language Pathology. The SLP I is responsible for the provision of treatment and intervention for patients with speech, voice, language, communication, swallowing and related disabilities. This position provides services to the following populations: Pediatrics & Adults, Inpatient and Outpatient.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligible or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and current Intern Licensure in SLP by the State of South Carolina required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider also required.

Required License Certification and Registration: and current Licensure in SLP by the State of South Carolina required. Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
