Pro Rehab is seeking an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapist to join the team at Veteran's Home in Montevideo, MN. This on-call role offers competitive wages and a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, guiding therapeutic activities, and educating families. MN licensure (OTR or COTA) and English proficiency are required, with opportunities to work with a supportive care team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients to understand needs affecting daily activities.

• Provide therapeutic activities including exercises and ADL training.
• Educate patients and families on care strategies and home modifications.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans with healthcare teams.
• Collaborate with doctors and therapists to ensure comprehensive care.
• COTA – assist OT in implementing plans and documenting outcomes.

OT/ COTA Responsibilities

• Assess & Evaluate Patients: Conduct evaluations to understand patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs affecting daily activities.
• Develop & Implement Treatment Plans: Create personalized intervention programs to improve independence in daily tasks and work-related functions.
• Provide Therapeutic Activities: Guide patients through exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive device training to enhance motor skills and coordination.
• Educate & Support Patients & Families: Provide patient and caregiver education such as but not limited to: coping strategies, home modifications, and techniques to improve quality of life and independence.
• Monitor Progress & Adjust Plans: Track patient improvements, document progress, and modify treatment approaches as needed.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work with doctors, physical therapists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• COTA - Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, focusing on improving daily living activities (ADLs).
• COTA - Monitor patient progress and document outcomes in accordance with care plans.
• COTA - Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and exercises.
• COTA - Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

OT/ COTA Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Program and have a bachelor’s degree.
• Must possess a current MN Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License or Must possess a current Accredited MN Occupational Therapy (OTR) License
• Must possess strong knowledge regarding state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care.
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
