Job summary

Pro Rehab seeks an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapist to join the Veterans Home team in Montevideo, MN. The role is on-call and offers competitive wages in a mission-driven setting focused on improving daily living and work-related functions through personalized treatment plans.

Responsibilities include patient evaluations, developing treatment plans, facilitating therapeutic activities, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Accredited OT program with a bachelor’s degree.
• Current MN OT License (COTA or OTR) required.
• Strong knowledge of state/federal/local long-term care regs and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to improve ADLs.
• Provide therapeutic activities to enhance motor skills and coordination.
• Educate patients and families on strategies and home modifications.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care.
• Assist OT in implementing plans and document outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapist to join the team at Veteran's Home, in Montevideo, MN! OT/ COTA Responsibilities

• Assess & Evaluate Patients: Conduct evaluations to understand patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs affecting daily activities.
• Develop & Implement Treatment Plans: Create personalized intervention programs to improve independence in daily tasks and work-related functions.
• Provide Therapeutic Activities: Guide patients through exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive device training to enhance motor skills and coordination.
• Educate & Support Patients & Families: Provide patient and caregiver education such as but not limited to: coping strategies, home modifications, and techniques to improve quality of life and independence.
• Monitor Progress & Adjust Plans: Track patient improvements, document progress, and modify treatment approaches as needed.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work with doctors, physical therapists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• COTA - Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, focusing on improving daily living activities (ADLs).
• COTA - Monitor patient progress and document outcomes in accordance with care plans.
• COTA - Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and exercises.
• COTA - Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

OT/ COTA Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Program and have a bachelor’s degree.
• Must possess a current MN Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License or Must possess a current Accredited MN Occupational Therapy (OTR) License.
• Must possess strong knowledge regarding state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care.
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
