Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs is seeking a Licensed Professional of Healing Arts (LPHA) to deliver individualized, family, and group counseling to youth facing serious emotional challenges. This fully remote position requires a Master’s degree, valid Texas licensure, and experience in mental health services. The LPHA will focus on empowering youth and their families while ensuring compliance with relevant protocols, benefitting from a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

  • Active professional licensure in psychology, counseling, or social work required.
  • Experience in foster care and play therapy is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling to youth in community settings.
  • Document services and communicate with team members and supervisors.
  • Attend Wraparound Team meetings as needed.

Skills

Experience in home and/or community-based mental health services
Knowledge of community resources
Bilingual (Spanish speaking)

Job description

Status : Full Time Salary FLSA Classification : Exempt

Summary of the Position: The Licensed Professional of Healing Arts (LPHA) is responsible for providing individual, family, and group counseling to youth with serious emotional disturbances and their families.

  • Services are provided in participants' homes or appropriate community settings and may include psychological diagnostic interviews, treatment planning, and counseling in group, individual, or family settings.
  • The LPHA will focus on increasing the youth’s natural supports and strengths, fostering resilience and recovery.
  • The LPHA is responsible for accurately documenting services, attending Wraparound Team meetings as needed, and communicating participants' programs to supervisors, team members, and the referring authority.
  • All services are delivered in compliance with the Texas Medicaid Provider Procedures Manual, the Texas Resilience and Recovery Utilization Management Guidelines, YAP Standards, and all applicable state and federal regulations.

Annual Salary: $55,000 - $65,000

Qualifications / Requirements: Master’s degree in a human services field such as psychology, criminal justice, sociology, social work, counseling/therapy, or behavioral health is required.

Active professional licensure in psychology, counseling, or social work is required, with valid Texas licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT).

  • Experience in home and/or community-based mental health services.
  • Foster care experience is a plus.
  • Play Therapy experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of community resources and experience in community work.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance coverage.

Bi-lingual (Spanish speaking) applicants are required.

This position is considered fully remote.
