Job summary

South Texas Health System in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Licensed Therapist to work with patients and families across individual, family, and group modalities. You will conduct social assessments, provide counseling, and participate in discharge planning.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work or Counseling and Texas licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LPA, LPCI). Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred to support diverse patient needs and collaborative care with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field is required.
• Licensed in Texas (LMSW/LCSW/LPC/LPA/LPCI) is required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, marital, and group therapy as appropriate.
• Conduct social assessments and patient/family education.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordinate care across teams.
• Work with patients and families to support treatment goals.

Responsibilities

The Therapist (Licensed) will be responsible for working with patients and their families. This will include social assessments, individual / family / marital / counseling, group therapy, patient/family education, discharge planning and other modalities as applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience in health care or psychiatric setting preferred.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish).
• Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

Education / Licensure

• Master's Degree in Social Work or Master’s Degree in Counseling, Education, or Related field.
• Must be licensed through the State of Texas (LMSW; LCSW; LPC; LPA;LPCI).
