Job summary

Piedmont Community Services in Virginia seeks a Full Time benefitted Juvenile Specialized Probation Therapist to provide Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, and Comprehensive Needs Assessments to youth and their families working with the 22nd District Juvenile Court Services Unit.

Must hold licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in Virginia and have some experience with mental illness or substance use; experience with juvenile justice is preferred. Background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as LPC, LCSW or LMFT in Virginia.
• Experience or knowledge of mental illness (SMI, SED, at-risk) and/or substance use disorders preferred.
• Experience with the juvenile justice system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide Individual Therapy to youth and families.

• Collaborate with the 22nd District Juvenile Court Services Unit and agencies involved.

Full Time benefitted Juvenile Specialized Probation Therapist needed to provide Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, and Comprehensive Needs Assessment to youth and their families who are working with the 22nd District Juvenile Court Services Unit. This is a multi-faceted position that requires licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in the state of Virginia. Ideal candidates will have some experience working with individuals with mental illness (SMI, SED, At-risk) and/or substance use disorders. Experience and/or knowledge of the juvenile justice system is preferred but not required. Salary is commensurate with appropriate education and experience as it relates to the position.

Must be willing to consent to background checks, including checks for barrier crimes, and drug screening as part of the application process.
