Job summary

Denver Springs is seeking a Help For Heroes Therapist to join our daytime team in Colorado. The role involves assessing psychosocial needs, creating treatment plans with healthcare teams, and delivering counseling to patients and families facing mental health challenges.

You will connect patients with community resources and advocate for equitable care within the system. Applicants must hold an LMSW or LCSW and a Master’s degree from an accredited school.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited program.
• LMSW or LCSW license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' psychosocial needs to understand emotional, psychological, and social situations.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Provide counseling and support to patients and families facing mental health challenges.
• Connect patients with community resources and services (support groups, housing assistance).
• Advocate for patients' rights and ensure equitable care within the healthcare system.

A Therapist who excels in this role:

Lived experience serving, working with, or belonging to the target population is required. Candidates may include military veterans, former law enforcement professionals, or individuals with extensive knowledge of the population and demonstrated cultural competence. Veteran status is not required

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state LMSW, LCSW license and possess a Master's degree from an accredited school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred

Rate Range: $32.19-$43.46 Hourly
