Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) Beloit outpatient mental health team is seeking a full-time Therapist In Training to work under supervision toward independent licensure, providing individual therapy and assessments.

This role emphasizes trauma-informed, person-centered practice, collaboration with DOC clients, flexible hybrid schedule (onsite Mon/Wed, telehealth Tue/Thu, Fri mix), and robust supervision plus professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
• Practicum experience related to mental health, substance use, or community-based services.
• Eligible for or currently holding a Wisconsin In Training license (APSW, LPC-IT, MFT-IT).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and evaluations.
• Develop collaborative treatment plans.
• Provide individual psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Deliver psychoeducation and skill-building interventions.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in treatment team and recovery team meetings.
• Collaborate with community partners and referral sources.
• Engage in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development.
