Job description

Provide primarily independent therapy sessions for patients diagnosed with Substance Use Disorders
Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments according to patient population and caseload needs
Provide occasional individual counseling sessions as appropriate
Assist with treatment planning and review progress toward treatment plan goals
Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team
Carry and effectively manage a patient caseload
Timely and comprehensively document treatment data in the electronic patient health record
Ensure adherence to regulatory and company compliance requirements
Attend required onsite staff meetings, supervision, multidisciplinary team meetings, and quarterly in-service
Provide training, onboarding, and mentorship support for new-hire counselors within the site or adjacent clinics

Requirements
  • Active clinical licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum independently licensed
  • Masters degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly empathetic and compassionate to effectively support patients’ recovery journey
  • Competent at working with a diverse population of colleagues and patients
  • Natural problem solver with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • Adaptable and agile within a dynamic work environment
  • Technologically capable and comfortable operating in multiple communication & documentation systems
  • Familiarity with MS Office software (Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.) preferred
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and 42-CFR Part 2 desired
  • Prior experience with harm reduction a plus
