Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a Program Therapist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team in Glendale, CA. This part-time on-site role focuses on delivering treatment per the Center for Discovery Clinical Model, leading psychoeducational groups, and conducting clinical assessments and therapy sessions.

The position requires a Master's or Doctorate, active state licensure, and experience in mental health, especially with eating disorders.

Qualifikationen

• Master's or Doctorate degree in relevant field is required.
• Holds active state license.
• Two years of experience in the mental health field preferred.
• One year of experience with eating disorders preferred.
• Must possess a current driver's license and be in good standing.

Aufgaben

• Ensure clinical documentation is completed timely.
• Establish therapeutic rapport with patients and families.
• Facilitate admission assessments and process for new patients.
• Ensure access to care and coordinate with treatment team.
• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings and set goals.
• Complete required therapy sessions weekly (RTC/PHP/IOP as clinically indicated).
• Facilitate process oriented and psychoeducational groups.
• Participate in family meals/snacks at least weekly.
• Lead multi-family groups and family programs.
• Provide utilization reviews to obtain authorizations as needed.
• Assess suicidality and safety; manage crises.
• Support other clinical staff as needed.
• Coordinate with UR and Business departments for authorization/payments.
• Begin discharge planning on admission; complete discharge session.
• Confirm discharge appointments with patient and family.
