Job summary

Family & Children's Services in Oklahoma's Tulsa area seeks a dedicated Therapist/Counselor to treat children and families within the Child Abuse and Trauma Services (CATS). The role focuses on trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions for ages 0-18 and their families, including individuals, families, and groups.

Licensed candidates earn $82K+ with an $8K first-year bonus; supervised therapists start at $72K+ with a $5K first-year bonus, plus comprehensive benefits and advancement

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work or its equivalent from an accredited school.
  • Knowledge and experience in individual, group and family therapy.
  • Knowledge and experience in conducting mental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Must demonstrate a clinical family systems orientation and ability to work with diverse populations with multiplicity of problems.
  • Must be licensed or under supervision for licensure as an LCSW, LPC or LMFT in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Must possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office. Mileage reimbursement provided

Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma informed, evidenced-based therapy to children age 0-18 and their families.
  • Collaborate within the CCBHC model to coordinate care and support client recovery.
  • Engage in ongoing clinical supervision for licensure and professional development.

Family & Children's Services, Oklahoma's leading community mental health center, has an opportunity for an energetic and caring Therapist/Counselor to work with Child Abuse and Trauma Services (CATS).

CATS Therapists provide trauma informed, evidenced-based practice interventions to children age 0-18 and their families who have experienced abuse, neglect, unplanned separation or other traumas. Program specializes in sexual abuse treatment for children and their families. Individual, family and group interventions are utilized. Excellent training opportunities to enhance skills.

Therapist/Counselor Requirements

CCBHC Model of Care

Family & Children's Services works to heal hurting and abused children, strengthen families, and provide hope and a path to recovery for those battling mental illness and addiction. You will be working in an innovative and dynamic environment using a new transformative model of care Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This model is characterized by innovative, team-based approach and whole person care for adults and children with a range of complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Utilizing Multi-disciplinary Teams, Therapists Work Collaboratively To Provide a Coordinated Effort To Enhance Client Recovery. Robust CCBHC Services Often Result In Better Client Outcomes And Quality Of Care Due To

  • Increased access to care and crisis services
  • Expanded traditional community mental health and substance use services.
  • Added Care Coordination and physical health screening for mental health clients
  • Greater access to Social Services for clients' economic and social needs
