Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a clinically skilled Therapist to provide direct therapeutic services across behavioral health and substance use programs in Alaska. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver individual, group, and family therapy while coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.

This role requires two years of clinical experience, a Masters degree in a related field, and an Alaska license preferred.

Qualifications

• Master degree in social work or related field required and licensure eligibility.
• Minimum of two years of clinical therapy experience in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment settings preferred.
• Active clinical license in Alaska preferred (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LSW, SWC).
• EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, or trauma-focused certifications preferred.
• Experience in residential, inpatient, or detoxification levels of care preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal confidentiality regulations and Joint Commission standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments using ASAM criteria and biopsychosocial evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized, measurable treatment plans with patients and the team.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy aligned with program standards and regular sessions.
• Engage families, coordinate with referral sources, and support continuity of care.
• Apply sound clinical judgment in crisis situations and ensure ethical practice and safety.
