Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a clinically skilled Therapist to provide direct therapeutic services within our behavioral health and substance use treatment programs. This role is responsible for comprehensive clinical assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, family engagement, crisis intervention, and coordination of care throughout the patient’s treatment episode.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
• Active clinical license in the applicable state (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC) strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years of clinical therapy experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment.
• Experience in residential, inpatient, or detoxification settings preferred.
• Knowledge of confidentiality regulations and Joint Commission standards.
• Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments (ASAM criteria, biopsychosocial evaluations) within established timeframes.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the treatment team.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy per program standards; lead daily process groups.
• Coordinate with case management, medical providers, and external referrals for continuity of care.
• Maintain secure EMR documentation reflecting patient progress and treatment goals.
• Engage families, participate in discharge planning, and ensure continuity of care.
