Job summary

Apalachee Center, Inc. in North Florida is seeking a professional counselor to provide brief individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and related indirect services across office, teletherapy, community, and client home settings.

You will document progress in client records, maintain compliance with agency policies, and support stabilization to avert hospitalization. The role includes TBOS when needed and collaboration with families, schools, and other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group, marital and family therapy in accordance with established and acceptable clinical protocols in the office, through teletherapy, in the community, and in the client's home as necessary.
• Provide Therapeutic Behavioral On-Site services (TBOS) (i.e. providing services in client's home and school).
• Maintains all required and appropriate documentation for clinical records and progress notes for assigned cases in accordance with Client Record Handbook specifications or Agency policies and procedures.

Overview

Professional counseling work in providing brief individual and group therapy and related indirect client services. Provides crisis intervention to promote stabilization and avert hospitalization. Maintains documentation regarding client progress in the client records.

Essential/Core Job-specific Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group, marital and family therapy in accordance with established and acceptable clinical protocols in the office, through teletherapy, in the community, and in the client's home as necessary. Provide Therapeutic Behavioral On-Site services (TBOS) (i.e. providing services in client's home and school).
• Maintains all required and appropriate documentation for clinical records and progress notes for assigned cases in accordance with Client Record Handbook specifications or Agency policies and procedures.
• Meets service productivity standard of at least 62.5% (or 5 out of 8 work hours) for the provision of direct therapy services in accordance with applicable clinical/quality criteria which are supported by appropriate clinical record documentation which meet Clinical Record Handbook specifications, SAL documentation requirements, and Agency business/clinical ethics standards.
