Job summary

Meridian Health Services in Elwood, Indiana, is seeking a Therapist to join our children's services team. This role focuses on delivering clinical services to individuals—primarily children, adults, and families—within outpatient and residential settings.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related Behavioral Science and Indiana licensure (LSW/LMHC-A/LMFT-A).

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marital & Family Therapy, or related Behavioral Science field of study required
• Current non-probationary temporary license from state of Indiana in one of the following: LSW, LMHC-A, LMFT-A, LCAC-A required at minimum
• Valid driver’s license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, mental status exams, and diagnoses
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients
• Provide individual, family, couples, and group counseling services
• Deliver therapeutic services aligned with treatment plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, courts, schools, and community agencies to coordinate care
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external partners both verbally and in writing
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical and administrative documentation
• Adhere to organizational policies, ethical standards, and state and federal regulations

About the Role:

As a Therapist, you’ll play a vital role for the provision of clinical services to individuals in their respective areas, primarily children, adults and/or families with mental health issues and/or dual diagnosis, or individuals with substance use/dependence issues in both the outpatient and residential setting.

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, mental status exams, and diagnoses

• Provide individual, family, couples, and group counseling services
