Job summary

Meridian Health Services, a mission-driven provider in Indiana, seeks a licensed Therapist for the Children's Program in Howard County. You will assess, treat, and coordinate care for children, adults, and families facing mental health and substance use challenges in outpatient and residential settings.

Qualified candidates hold a master’s in a behavioral science field and Indiana license at minimum, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral science field is required.
• Current non-probationary temporary Indiana license: LSW, LMHC-A, LMFT-A, or LCAC-A is required at minimum.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, mental status exams, and diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients.
• Provide individual, family, couples, and group counseling services.
• Deliver therapeutic services aligned with treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, courts, schools, and community agencies to coordinate care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external partners both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical and administrative documentation.
• Adhere to organizational policies, ethical standards, and state and federal regulations.

About the Role of a Therapist:

As a Therapist, you’ll play a vital role for the provision of clinical services to individuals in their respective areas, primarily children, adults and/or families with mental health issues and/or dual diagnosis, or individuals with substance use/dependence issues in both the outpatient and residential setting.

Therapist Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, mental status exams, and diagnoses

What We’re Looking For in a Therapist:

We’re seeking compassionate, motivated individuals who are passionate about whole-person care and thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment. Experience in behavioral health or social services is a plus.

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marital & Family Therapy, or related Behavioral Science field of study required
• Current non-probationary temporary license from state of Indiana in one of the following: LSW, LMHC-A, LMFT-A, LCAC-A required at minimum
• Valid driver’s license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required.
