Job summary

Beacon Point Recovery Center is hiring a Primary Therapist for our Drug and Alcohol Detox program in Philadelphia. The role involves conducting intake, assessments, and individual sessions, while facilitating groups and addressing patient concerns to reduce AMA risk.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Human Services (or related field) and at least 1 year of Detox/Residential experience, with weekend availability and flexibility a plus.

• Minimum 1 year experience in Detox and/or Residential setting.
• Experience conducting group sessions.

Primary Therapist Duties/Responsibilities

• New patient intake and orientation
• Conducts initial assessment of patient problems and needs and reports to clinical team to initiate treatment planning
• Conducts individual sessions
• Facilitates groups with patients
• Addresses patient's concerns and helps eliminate possibility of AMA
• Provides Case Management
• Documentation in patient medical record

Primary Therapist Requirements

• Bachelors degree or above in Human Services or related
• Minimum 1 year experience in Detox and/or Residential setting
• Experience conducting group sessions
• Flexibility and willingness are great attributes

Primary Therapist Schedule

• Full Time
• 8:00am-5:30pm
• Must be open to one weekend shift per week

Counselor Compensation

Hourly rate competitive with experience and location
