The Arizona State Hospital (ASH) provides inpatient psychiatric care to persons with serious mental illness who need long-term behavioral health care. The Arizona State Hospital has a wide range of positions available, from direct care staff, nurses, and behavioral health technicians to social workers, rehabilitation specialists, and security personnel. The hospital offers 12‑hour shifts for direct care staff and flexible schedules for non‑direct care staff. Salary: $57,739.55 Grade: 20 Closing Date: Until Filled
Provides individual and group therapy to patients in a strength‑based, recovery‑oriented environment, utilizing best practices while ensuring all documentation is timely and meets agency and regulatory requirements. Serves as a consultant to treatment teams for identified patients.
Preferred candidate will have 4 years of inpatient psychiatric experience in developing treatment plans, experience applying and utilizing a variety of psycho‑therapeutic strategies, and possess an independent license through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LPC, LIAC, LCSW).
Candidate must possess a Master's Degree in a behavioral health related field and a current Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE) associate license, or obtain associate licensure within 6 months to 1 year of hiring as a LAC, LASAC or LMSW. Once associate licensed, the candidate must participate in ongoing clinical supervision to consistently work toward achievement of independent licensure in no less than 2 years post associate licensure.
Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR and NVCI certification.
A State Hospital employee must obtain and maintain a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card pursuant to A.R.S. 41‑1758.07.
