Job summary

Every Child's Hope in St. Louis, MO seeks a licensed mental health clinician to provide assessments and individual and group psychotherapy for youth aged 10-18 in our residential program.

This full-time position requires a Master’s degree in a related field and Missouri licensure (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) with at least 1 year of pediatric therapy experience; schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day, with a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, family therapy, or related field.
• Missouri clinical license or registration (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) or provisional LMSW/PLPC under supervision.
• Minimum 1 year of providing individual and/or family therapy to children, adolescents, and families.
• Preference for experience in residential treatment settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial mental health assessments and trauma history.
• Provide individual psychotherapy to youth aged 10–18.
• Work with an interdisciplinary treatment team for continuity of care.
• Document therapy progress notes timely for billing purposes.
• Develop treatment plans and provide summaries during team meetings.
• Provide court reports on therapy progress when requested.
• Provide monthly summaries of treatment goals and outcomes.
• Maintain trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care in service delivery.
• Meet licensure requirements and complete annual trainings.
• Serve as on-call clinician on a rotating basis.

Summary

Provide mental health assessment and intervention, conducting both individual and group psychotherapy sessions for youth aged 10-18 in the residential treatment program at Every Child’s Hope.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide initial assessment of the child’s mental health functioning and assessment of their trauma history
• Provide individual psychotherapy sessions to the child as an integral part of their treatment program
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team and attend necessary meetings to facilitate continuity of care
• Maintain effective communication and relationships with ECH Case Manager, family therapist, and other members of the clinical treatment team for each child on your caseload
• Complete documentation of therapy progress notes in a timely manner by submitting necessary documentation for billing purposes within the designated time frame
• Conduct initial treatment assessments and develop treatment plans, provide treatment summaries during team meetings, and provide court reports on therapy progress when requested
• Provide monthly summaries, during Service Plan Review Meetings, of treatment goals being worked on and therapeutic outcomes achieved
• Maintain a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and client-responsive approach to therapeutic service delivery
• Maintain and meet all requirements for both State Licensure and Every Child’s Hope’s training, including initial hire trainings and on-going annual training expectations
• Serve as the "on-call" clinician on a rotating basis with other members of the treatment team, and as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, Family Therapy, or another related social services field is required
• State of Missouri clinical license and/or registration in Social Work (LCSW), Counseling (LPC), or Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT)
• OR provisional licensure as an LMSW or PLPC under current supervision
• A minimum of (1) years providing individual and/or family therapy or counseling to children, adolescents, and families
• Preference given to past experience providing therapy in a residential treatment program
