YBGR in Montana seeks a Therapeutic Youth Mentor to support youth in building resilience, life skills, and healthy coping strategies. You will model positive behaviors and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans.

Starting wages range from $16.19 to $18.22 per hour, depending on education and experience, with growth steps on an 11-step schedule. Evening/weekend flexibility is required.

Formación

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Clear criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by Montana.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Driver’s license to operate a passenger vehicle.
• Ability to build rapport and engage therapeutically with youth.
• Knowledge of confidentiality practices and professional boundaries.
• Ability to work with youth individually and in groups.
• Teamwork with ability to work independently when needed.
• Excellent active listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in documentation in an electronic health record; 35 WPM typing.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain trusting, professional relationships with youth receiving mental health services.
• Demonstrate healthy choices, boundaries, and coping strategies as a positive role model.
• Support youth in achieving treatment plan goals as outlined by therapists.
• Facilitate skill-building activities in communication, problem-solving, and daily living skills.
• Accompany youth in community settings to promote socialization and independence.
• Provide crisis support and de-escalation per YBGR protocols.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR.
• Collaborate with therapists, families, and community partners for coordinated care.
• Contribute to PQI initiatives and organizational goals.
• Model YBGR’s values and professional standards in all interactions.
• Adhere to policies, safety procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Take initiative to identify challenges and seek solutions.
• Participate in supervision, meetings, and ongoing training.
• Be aware of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of youth served.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
