Job summary

YBGR in Montana is seeking a Therapeutic Youth Mentor to support youth across Montana. You will build positive, therapeutic relationships, model healthy choices, and help youth reach their treatment goals as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Starting pay ranges from $16.19 to $18.22 per hour; the actual rate reflects education and experience. Positions may require evenings or weekends and occasional travel; candidates must pass criminal and child abuse background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background check including criminal and child abuse registry.
• Proficiency in documenting in an electronic health record (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Build trusting, professional relationships with youth receiving mental health services.
• Model healthy choices and boundaries; teach coping skills.
• Assist youth in achieving treatment plan goals as directed by therapists.
• Facilitate skill-building activities on communication, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.
