S:US invites applications for a Program Coordinator to support Urban Farms, using therapeutic horticulture as a pathway for personal and professional growth. The role focuses on participant engagement, staff supervision, and program development within our urban farming initiatives.

The position requires a 4-year degree, experience in education or coaching, and a passion for horticulture and working with people with disabilities. Must be able to lift 40 pounds and hold a NYS driver's license.

Formación

• A 4-year degree in a related field (horticulture, agriculture, nutrition, education, human services).
• At least 2 years of experience as a teacher, job or wellness coach, or similar position.
• Interest in horticulture or agriculture (≥1 year of education, job experience or volunteer work).
• Interest in working with individuals with disabilities.
• Able to lift 40 pounds.
• Valid NYS driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Engage clients and mentor Urban Farms participants.
• Assess goals and match participants to roles.
• Supervise Assistants and provide hands-on coaching.
• Develop schedules for staff and participants.
• Lead workshops and trainings with Director/Manager.
• Support programming curricula and supervise activities.
• Support farmers markets and job coaching.
• Coordinate farm product development and entrepreneurial initiatives.
• Maintain reporting on program activities and metrics.

Conocimientos

Valid NYS driver’s license

Educación

4-year degree in related field
