S:US invites applications for a Program Coordinator to support Urban Farms, using therapeutic horticulture as a pathway for personal and professional growth. The role focuses on participant engagement, staff supervision, and program development within our urban farming initiatives.
The position requires a 4-year degree, experience in education or coaching, and a passion for horticulture and working with people with disabilities. Must be able to lift 40 pounds and hold a NYS driver's license.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
The Program Coordinator supports a comprehensive therapeutic horticulture service that functions as an innovative supplement to other supports received by the individuals and families S:US serves. The role uses urban farming and gardening as a therapeutic tool, as an employment pathway, and as a device to advance the personal and professional goals of participants. The Program Coordinator promotes engagement in Urban Farms activities, supporting participants in achieving personal and professional goals through Urban Farms programming.
