Job summary

Passavant Memorial Homes in Pittsburgh is seeking a Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS) to provide one-on-one care for children in home or community settings. You will assist with daily living, transportation, and activities while learning to administer medications with certification training provided.

Qualifications include 21+ years old, a valid driver’s license, and a related bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree with experience in ID/mental health.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 21 years of age, required.
• Valid driver’s license, required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (official transcripts required), required.
• Two years experience working with children with ID or mental health, required.
• Associates degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university in a related field (official transcripts required), required.
• Four years experience working with children with ID or mental health, required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care services and specialized care in daily living, social and recreational activities.
• Support independence and implementation of the individual support plan.
• Ensure safety and well-being of the individuals.
• Encourage engagement in home and community activities.
• Observe and report on behaviors and changes in condition; document findings.
• Administer medications (certification; training provided).
• Maintain records regarding individuals.
• Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties (home and vehicle).
