Job summary

Wingspan Care Group seeks a Psychiatric Safety Officer to protect the agency’s premises, assets, staff and clients across campus programs. You will patrol, respond to calls for assistance, de-escalate situations and assist with safety, investigations, and recording daily activity.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, knowledge of public safety protocols, integrity, and 3 years’ relevant experience preferred. Wingspan is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of public safety and basic security protocols.
• Integrity and professionalism.
• 3 years of experience as safety officer, school resources officer, security guard, or equivalent position preferred.
• Surveillance skills and detail orientation; strong verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
• Respond to calls for assistance campus-wide and de-escalate as needed.
• Assist with safety search and inventory of belongings for new patients.
• Complete patient checks and document all activity as required.
• Submit daily activity reports and incident reports when necessary.
• Conduct security screenings with visitors and investigate suspicious activity.
• Maintain records reflecting the facility's safety programs.
• Coordinate security services with other departments and staff.
