Job summary

Erlanger Hospital is seeking an Activity Therapist to plan, direct, and implement activity therapy as part of the patient’s treatment plan. The role involves assessing patient needs, designing engaging activities, and guiding sessions to promote overall well-being.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation (Master’s preferred) with 3+ years in healthcare recreation, CPR and de-escalation certification, and CTRS certification (or in progress).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and implement activity therapy programs as part of the patient’s treatment plan.
• Complete activity assessments through observation and interviews to inform the treatment plan.
• Develop and implement activity interventions to meet patient needs and goals.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities to improve mental and physical wellbeing.
• Demonstrate professional attitude and ensure patient safety.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field

Master’s degree (preferred)

Tools
