Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation or related field is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in recreation in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and implement activity therapy programs as part of the patient’s treatment plan.
• Observe patients and interview to tailor activities to needs and goals.
• Organize and lead therapy sessions in recreational activities such as arts, music and movement.
• Develop treatment plans and activity interventions aligned with patient goals.
• Promote safe, engaging leisure activities to support social skills and independence.
• Supervise activity staff when applicable and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
