Job summary

NISRA is seeking a Recreation Program Coordinator in Crystal Lake, IL to oversee weekly programs, social clubs, trips, and special events. Under supervision, you will lead seasonal programs and coordinate executable projects that serve individuals with disabilities.

You will develop strong partnerships with families, districts, and community organizations while managing program budgets and ensuring safety and accessibility in all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
• CTRS certification within the first year of employment (or obtained)
• CPRP certification within the first year of eligibility (or obtained)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate NISRA’s weekly programs, social clubs, trips, and other assigned program areas.
• Work with supervisor to implement new program concepts and adjust existing programs as needed.
• Plan, budget, implement, evaluate and revise assigned programs.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with families, member districts and service organizations.
