Job summary

NISRA is seeking a Recreation Program Coordinator to oversee weekly programs, social clubs, trips, and special events. Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Recreation, you will lead assigned seasonal programs and coordinate projects to support individuals with disabilities.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Therapeutic Recreation or related field and have CPR/AED and driver’s license; CTRS/CPRP certification is preferred or obtainable within the first year.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of recreation activities and program planning.
• Leadership abilities in areas with special populations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate NISRA’s weekly programs, social clubs, trips and other areas.
• Collaborate with supervisor to implement new programs and adjust existing ones.
• Plan, budget, implement, evaluate and revise assigned programs.
• Develop relationships with families and partner organizations.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field

CTRS or CPRP certification
