Job summary

NISRA is seeking a Recreation Program Coordinator in Crystal Lake, IL, to oversee weekly programs, social clubs, trips, and special events for participants with disabilities. Under the Senior Manager of Recreation, you will lead seasonal programs, manage projects, and help expand outreach.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Therapeutic Recreation or related field, CTRS/CPRP certification (or within first year), strong leadership and communication skills, and a valid Class D driver’s license for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field required.
• Certification as a CTRS or CPRP required within first year.
• Extensive knowledge of recreation activities and program planning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Class D driver’s license and readiness for transport of participants.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate NISRA’s weekly programs, social clubs, trips, and other assigned program areas.
• Work with supervisor to implement new program concepts and adjust existing programs.
• Plan, budget, implement, evaluate and revise assigned programs.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with families, member districts and collaborators.
